Like most chalk, it’s about 99% magnesium carbonate. The real performance comes from the remaining 1% and that’s where GRASP has put in the work. After extensive testing, they’ve fine-tuned a precise blend of additives to push grip and moisture control as far as possible.
For the Itadaki Series, they went back to basics and started by selecting a standout magnesium carbonate from a wide range of options. From there, they built two chalks—Super Grip and New Standard—each tuned for different conditions.
Super Grip takes the New Standard base and levels it up with carefully calibrated additives. The result is maximum performance in tough conditions, especially when it’s hot, humid, or your hands just won’t stay dry.
It’s designed to excel when:
You’re sweating more than usual
Holds feel damp or greasy
Conditions are working against your friction
You get stronger moisture absorption and noticeably better grip right when you need it most.
The chalk uses a fine, linear particle structure that settles deep into your fingerprints, giving you more consistent coverage and contact where it matters.
Even though it’s labeled at 280g, the lower-density material means you’re actually getting more usable chalk compared to typical options.
For best results, pair it with New Standard and switch between the two depending on the conditions.
